It requires good fitness and stamina to perform in any sports. To develop them, sports clubs and educational institutions hire strength and conditioning coaches. These coaches help individuals and the team to build physical fitness necessary to perform in sports. They may work with football, baseball, hockey, athletics, and any another teams. They know which body muscle do what and how to work on it for sports performance. Their daily routine activities include planning and preparing workout programs for the team and guide them how to perform exercises safely.

A degree in physical education or related sport is necessary to apply for a strength and conditioning coach job. If applying for the job to a college or university, you will need a master's degree with emphasis on kinesiology. In addition, a certification from the National Strength and Conditioning Association is also looked for.
