Appraisal refers to the revaluation of assets of an organization. The assets include machinery, immovable properties, gold, artwork, etc. The main responsibility of revaluation lies with the appraiser. However, the appraisal coordinator plays a major role in liaising between the appraiser and the organization and ensuring accurate revaluation of assets.

The appraisal coordinator conducts yearly appraisal of the organization's assets to determine its true value and prepare financial documents with latest and authentic financial data. He appoints an appraiser and communicates with other departments of the organization to gather information and documents as requested by the appraiser. Further, he provides assistance in conducting market research and analyzing data to find out relevant information about market conditions and effect on assets. On completion of the appraisal duties, he submits the appraisal report to the management for approval.
