Duke Nurse Resume

Nurses are given proper training on providing health care services with the help from other health care professionals like surgeons, physicians and some other members from the nursing staff. Duke nurses work in a similar manner like other registered nurses. They are responsible for treating patients, giving them emotional support and instructions for proper health care.

Duke Nurses have to be qualified as registered nurses and they need to have a license from the state as well. The main function of the staff nurses is working as per the directions and supervisions of the head nurse. They have to coordinate and plan the nursing activities. Also, they need to converse with patients and families in a precise and concise manner for which communication skills are must.

The nurses have to give direct care to patients. They should be able to identify emotional, physical and psychological needs of patients. Sometimes, as per the instructions of the physician they will have to administer medications to patients. They should have good knowledge about the advantages and disadvantages of all the medicines.
