Business Invitation Letter

A business invitation letter is used for inviting guests for an event. Its tone should always be positive, and the readers must feel that you truly value their presence. However, it must not sound as though you are giving excessive importance to them or just exaggerating on your expressions. It must include the details like venue, date and time about the event. In case you have kept any dress code, mention it as well. Further, the readers will also like to know if they can bring any additional guest with them. Most importantly, specify the nature of the event. In the end, the letter must request to provide confirmation of their acceptance to enable you to do the needful arrangement.

Dear Mr. Joseph:

I'm writing this letter on behalf of the students and management of Eastwood School. We would like to invite you as a guest speaker for the Annual Function of our school. It would be a pleasure to have you in our school. The children will learn a lot from the interaction.

As one of the prominent figures in the society, your mere presence will be of great help to the school. Your experience and knowledge will have an impact on the student community. The students will learn new and interesting facts about the stars, planets and other celestial objects. I had attended a presentation that you had conducted for a children's club in Texas a few years back. It is highly appreciable that you enjoy the company of students and always make a point in attending such events.

The students will be presenting cultural programs, a skit and then there will be prize distribution for meritorious students. The function will be held in the school auditorium at 6.30 p.m. on February 20, 2014. This will be followed by dinner. Students' parents will also be a part of the function.

We look forward to your positive reply. Once you accept this invitation, I will personally come with the invitation card of the event to your office.

Yours truly,

Susan Harris
