HR assistant is responsible for keeping personnel records of organization. They prepare reports for managers within the organization. They may perform some additional clerical duties at a larger company. They screen job applicants to get information such as education and work experience. Update appropriate forms when an employee receives promotion or if there is any change in their address. They are responsible for informing job applicants if their acceptance or rejection for employment. HR regularly keep track of address changes, change in job titles, salaries and benefits. Mostly, the requirements for HR are found in the larger towns and cities.
HR assistant also conduct Internet research to locate resumes. They work with departments, in a consultancy role and help managers to understand and implement policies and procedures. HR is also responsible for recruiting staff that includes job description development, preparation of advertisement, checking applications, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidate. Discuss with staff and their representative on issues related to pay and conditions. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
