Bar attendants are responsible for preparing, mixing and serving drinks, food to customers in bars, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and clubs.

These venues are often busy and noisy. Sometimes they have to deal with difficult customers who may be drunk. Generally they work in shifts including weekends and holidays. To work as a bar attendant the person must be at least 18 years of old. The owner or the employer of the bar provides uniforms to the bar attendants.
