Direct care is responsible for various duties. They support persons with daily living such as recreation, laundry, finances, meal preparation, on-the-job-support and transportation. They are also responsible for communicating with applicable information with supervisors, families, co-workers and others. Supervise clients in daily routines and activities. He or she makes sure about the proper medication, therapies and other services are provided according to the service plan. They complete and maintain annual certification requirements.
Direct care is the post that requires ability to maintain certification requirements, ability to lift minimum 50lbs, defensive driving and must be having clear criminal record. Direct care also promotes positive relationship between housemates and persons served. They also provide supportive counseling and help consumer in development.
