Pharmacy Clerk provides fast, courteous and friendly service to patients at pharmacy. They create the rapport, good and cooperative relationship with patients. They are also responsible for verifying patient's address and phone number, insurance, date of birth etc before giving and receiving out prescription.
Pharmacy clerks call pharmacist for counseling patients as showed on the prescription. When they are in reception areas, they answer the calls and give information due to request. They also send fax request to providers. Responsibility of handling money and cash register on daily basis, typing of new and refill script are important duty for them.

Pharmacy clerks complete pharmacy forms and logs and maintains non prescription inventories. They solve patient's problems and see over their needs and expectations. They give response very quickly to patient's questions and problems and give quick action and plans to them. They prepare daily, monthly and yearly reports as requested.
Sometimes they move or lift the medical boxes. Pharmacy clerk must be familiar with computer knowledge to record up-to-date information. They help in shipping, invoicing, handling and delivery of medications and supplies to medical facility department, pharmacies and to patients. They do other duties assigned by supervisor as per need.
