This position is responsible to provide counseling such as mental health counseling services and other counseling services to students and their families. Mental health counselor is the degree where the students get the necessary preparation for licensing as a mental health counselor. We can do this by direct visiting to school sites or client homes in school times or after school times. Effective working relationships and coordination with school teachers and school principals is very important for this position. Mental health counselor averages of 15- 20 hours per week in during school and 0-5 hours per week during summer season.

They are also responsible for management duties such as billing, accounting, agency organizational development, planning, consulting and training. They provide counseling for clinical issues that are related to mood disorders, trauma, abuse, anxiety, domestic violence, life transition, divorce and family issues.
