Residential counselor give training of daily living that include self caring, hygiene, grooming, care of clothing, cooking, nutrition, meal preparation, menu development and dietary needs. Other information or training such as household maintenance, cleaning and about budget, banking and financial documentation is also given by them. They are also responsible for participating the program that helps to implement program goals, complete daily shift notes and other documentation. Residential counselor helps to maintain physical and mental health in good condition by providing knowledge of medical history and current health issues. If necessary, they give emergency service or appointments.
