Auto insurance sales agents sell policies to vehicle owners. The policies sold cover the damage for vehicles in cases of theft, vandalism, and accidents. The policies also include coverage for other cost such as towing the vehicles from the accident sites as well as rental car costs. These types of insurances are sold by agents who work with insurance carriers. There are also people who sell vehicle insurance for commissions. However, the duties for agents and those working on commissions remain the same. They have to search and convince prospective customers for which they call and meet customers in person. To work as an insurance sales agent, a high school diploma is basic requirement. Some insurance carriers may ask for a degree though. Further, a license from the state where the agent is operating is also essential.
