The information technology supervisor or IT supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing and managing the installation, maintenance, development and operation of system hardware or computer software for several applications of a large or a complex nature, major applications that is very important for program delivery. Also the person should have that much capability to understand the business from the viewpoint of a senior business person and is conversant in the customer's business language.
The IT supervisor is differentiated by the supervisor responsibility for a team of IT staff. He is able to perform his work independently with accountabilities for the team's objects and goals and general responsibility for meeting objectives and the economics of computer utilization.
