Support analyst is responsible for resolving and investigating computer hardware and software problems. They receive telephones from users who are having problems using computer software and hardware and give suggestions regarding to use specific software such as graphics, data base, word processing, printing, electronic mail, operating systems etc. Support analyst answers questions using knowledge of computer hardware, software and procedures. They research problems to find solution by talking with coworkers.

Support analyst may also write the manuals and procedures of user training. They write hardware and software evaluation and suggestion for management review. He or she gives counseling to outside contractors to provide training. Responsible for other various duties as assigned.
