Court Reporter Resume

A court reporter is also known as a stenotype reporter or a stenographer. The job of this individual is to note down all the court proceedings word to word so as to prepare official transcripts of the processes. This is done by using shorthand or sometimes voice writing techniques. Such reports are required for keeping legal records and also for correspondence. Indeed, a court reporter plays a crucial role in the judicial proceedings by jotting down the things that happen as it is and hence providing the exact account. There are some types of court reporters who work outside the courtroom too. They work in diverse areas such as while reporting sales meetings or other such events.

Court reporters also work for TV networks or cable stations, sporting events, emergency broadcasts, captioning news and other programming.
