An assembler finds his profile in manufacturing firms and production factories with assembly lines. The assembler has to perform both manufacturing and maintenance duties. Sometimes the work profile demands the assembler to be physically strong with good eye sight, as the job may include lifting/pushing of heavy material or measuring on a microscopic scale.
Here follows some of the responsibilities an assembler has to deal with.
Firstly, he has to take care of his daily production targets, by finishing jobs within specified error limits, rejecting else. His next duty is troubleshooting production line machinery, checking for the possible faults.
If the maintenance team needs to understand certain features and facts about the machine under maintenance then the assembler is expected to help them. At the time of finishing the shift the assembler has to communicate with the assembler in the next shift about the completed production and machine status.
