Patient care specialists may provide clinical and non-clinical services to patients. If their specialization is in clinical care, then they will be providing basic nursing care. Some medical settings would require them to assist in patient education, group therapy, and continuous monitoring of patients' conditions. They are also expected to ensure safe environment for patients and their families. Besides, these nurses will obtain and record vital signs, body weight, and height, and patients' intake and output.
