Dog Trainer Resume
There are individuals who love spending time with their pets, and comfortable with any kind of animal. If you are one of those, a profession as a dog trainer could do wonders to you. Dog trainers are responsible for teaching pets to adapt to human habitat, and making them well-behaved or obedient pets. The trainers have duties like teaching basic commands to pets using different techniques, giving them special treats for positive behavior, correcting aggressive actions, paying attention to their physical exercise, and mental emotions. The job needs knowledge of behavioral patterns of canines, and ability to teach them. It also needs good communication skills, coordination skills, and interpersonal skills since trainers have to interact with pet owners and guide them on reinforcing learning at home.
Dog training jobs are found in boarding kennels, animal shelters, and veterinary clinics. Trainers can also be self-employed. To take a dog trainer career, there is no requirement of education, or training. But due to growing demand and stiff competition, it is better to do some certification course or an apprenticeship.
