Aviation Jobs

If you are a self-disciplined, calm person, able to face emergency situations without losing your temper or being disorganized completely and, besides all these, you have always been attracted to movies in which you have seen pilots and planes; then probably you should consider working in the aviation field. In this special field, there are a few roles that you could undertake, and these roles will be our main focus in the next few lines.

You can be a Pilot...

If you choose to be a pilot, your main attribution would be that of flying airplanes of different kinds. You will either be asked to fly an aircraft full of passengers (if you work in the civil branch of the aviation), war aircrafts (if you have decided to join the army as a pilot) or even cargo planes which carry merchandise overseas. Whatever you might be choosing, it is clear that you will have to go through some steps in order to get to work effectively, and that is the universal preparation which will give you all the necessary knowledge and skills, as the life of others is in your hands, so you cannot afford to make any kind of mistakes. After you have graduated from the university, you might have to work under the supervision of an older pilot, who will assess your skills and abilities.

You need to be a very calm and focused person in order to be a good pilot. Sometimes, the survival of the crew and passengers depend on you, as lately, we have heard of many plane hijacks and terrorist attacks on planes full of passengers. There are situations when an engine might fail to function, and technical problems can occur at any time, so the quality of your reaction to all these circumstances is vital.

The list of responsibilities is a long one, as we have seen, but the salary is a pretty motivating one, as it has been estimated to be up to 8,000 U.S. dollars a month, which is not a small income.

You can be a Flight Attendant...

If you are a good-looking woman, able to keep calm when faced with grumpy passengers or emergency situations, and you happen to speak at least two foreign languages, then you could qualify for the flight attendant position.

Being a flight attendant is not an easy job to do, as you will be required to leave your home and family for long periods of time, but sometimes the sacrifice is worth making, as your income is estimated to be up to 83,000 U.S. dollars a year.

...or You can be an Airport Clerk

For 40,000 U.S. dollars a year, you may as well work as an airport clerk. The airports are usually very vast spaces, and, therefore, they need a lot of personnel in order to fulfill all the passengers' needs.

All in all, working in the aviation field is not an easy job, but if you have the necessary skills to do that and you think you might be good at it, then you should definitely give it a try.
