Painter Jobs are an extremely vast category. They can range from decorative painting to industrial painting, auto painting, wall painting and so on. Anybody who uses paint can be considered a painter, even though the purpose of his or her painting is not decorative or artistic.
Painting has come a long way, giving painters a whole range of tools to work with, making the traditional paintbrush seem obsolete. In an auto industry, car painters use air brush painting, which makes it easier to cover large areas in a short period. It has become customary that some car owners put artistic paintings on their car as well, for embellishment, in which case, they turn to a painter that specializes in artistic painting, rather than industrial painting.
Some painters might specialize in painting aircrafts, and consider painting an airplane a challenge. House painters usually limit to painting walls, indoors and outdoors, restoring them in case of damages, but in some cases, clients might also like a more intricate mural painting, at which point they will turn to a professional artistic painter. When painting walls, or metal parts, like automobiles, it is important that the painter knows ways to make the paint last longer and to prevent it from peeling or scorching.
Paint jobs also include painting swimming pools, which is different because it uses a special type of paint that is also used in painting road signs.
The artistic side of painting also holds a large variety of painters, based on the field in which they specialize. There are the traditional painters, who paint on canvas for decorative purposes only - they might paint on commission if they receive a demand for a certain painting.
The textile industry also uses painters, for imprinting fabrics, either industrially, using various tools, or manually, in the case of more precious fabrics.
Objects that are usually found in the household, such as pottery, are often painted by hand, or sometimes by pre-programmed computers.
Painted furniture is another sector, which requires specialized painters, who are experienced in working with paints that are specific for wood painting. Furniture can be painted to recreate the Victorian feel, or sometimes to decorate children furniture. Sometimes they are painted by hand, but because manual labor is often quite expensive, most of the time they are painted using special painting tools.
We should not forget, however, face painting, which uses cosmetic paints, and can be found sometimes in fashion shows, or in various artistic shows.
