Dear Ms. Jones:

I'm writing this letter to apply for a position of History teacher in your esteemed school. The position was advertised in "The National Herald" dated February 14, 2014. I am interested in the field of academics and love to deal with young minds. History being my favorite subject, I am confident that I can make it more interesting for your students to understand it.

I have taught this subject for the last 5 five years in schools in and around Texas. My qualification in History from Texas University have added to my knowledge. In addition, I also did a Diploma in Elementary Education. As I believe catching students' interest in a subject is important for better learning, I use various methods while teaching this subject that excite them. These methods are planning excursions, showing movies on historical characters, slide show, etc. This helps the students in understanding the nuances of the subject.

My positive strengths are interpersonal skills, love for the subject, and understanding on how to motivate students in learning. Besides, I like to work in various sports and cultural committees in school which helps in overall personality development of the students. My abilities include planning lessons and finishing them within time so that students can have ample time with them for practice.

If given an opportunity, I will use apply my experience, knowledge and unique teaching methods to make students excel in the subject of history. I am ready to pacify all your doubts when you call me on (972) 502-4400. I will get back to you in a week's time to know the status of my application.

Yours truly,

Kenneth Garcia
