The position of resident assistant provides supervision and care of intellectually adults with duties such as food preparation, transportation of residents and housekeeping. They are responsible for a floor, building, pod, wing and area. They help with the academic and personal concerns of the student. Resident assistant is also responsible for serving as facilitator to encourage a considerate and cooperative group living environment. Mostly he is responsible for caring about people and attempts to make residents hall as a valuable place to live. They serve as an information resource about residence hall and campus. Their duties are numerous and varied.
The candidate for this position must be having knowledge of demands and dynamics of residential care that includes daily living skills, role modeling, behavior management and able to work within a team model and documentation. Also they must have a helping nature for others. Responsible for other duties as assigned.
