Corporate finance is a tough place to work, with intolerant bankers and completion of targets on time. In the corporate finance career, one has to dedicate his life for the job. Lifestyle is very hectic. Following are some corporate finance careers:

Analysts:

Typically, analysts are the low-ranking workers of corporate finance. Analysts generally work hard with a modest pay, minimum recognition and sleepless nights. These analysts are directly recruited from college and universities. These young, highly inspired group of people are responsible for performing entry level functions along with financial modeling.


Associates:

Associates in the corporate finance also work hard like the analysts. They usually work for 80 to 100 hrs per week. Associates are usually fresh MBA students. Associates work on pitch books and models all the time, due to which they become experts in financial modeling on Excel. Associates are involved with clients, and hence they are not at the bottom rung of the ladder.

Vice Presidents:

To reach at the position of a Vice President, it usually takes four or five years. After reaching at this position in corporate finance, one enters the territory of real banking. When the associates are promoted as vice presidents, their life becomes more manageable and their responsibilities increase. In corporate finance, vice presidents are responsible for financial modeling and the pitch book production process.

Directors:

In corporate finance, directors and managing directors play a key role. Generally, directors or managing directors are responsible for scheduling the work, meeting clients at the highest level, delegating work to other staff and monitoring the drafting session.
