A museum director is not just responsible for routine activities that take places inside the facility. In fact, he or she has to manage loads of things in order to maintain reputation of the museum as well as the profit. The person is in command of procuring art and artifacts for displaying or exhibiting them in the museum. The jobholder even has to negotiate with other organizations and collectors of unique items for exchange or purchase of items. He or she has to ensure that displays are exhibited in order and are segregated according to categories they fall into. The museum may also have them to raise funds for the maintenance and set up of exhibitions. Furthermore, maintaining and keeping stock of display under perfect conditions is also the director's responsibility.
