Power Plant Mechanic Resume

Power plant mechanics are the journeymen who does repair and maintenance of mechanical equipment used by the thermal power plants and hydro power plants. Many of them are trained on the job even though they have just a high school diploma. Their mechanical skills are also used by the aviation industry to repair and maintain engine and other systems installed in aircrafts. With the aviation industry, their daily tasks include inspecting engine systems for defects that can create problems. To do their job, they use a variety of hand tools and power tools.

Though a high school diploma is acceptable for the job, it is recommended to obtain at least an associate degree, certification, or diploma in mechanical engineering. In addition, you must mechanical aptitude and flair to multitask. It is also necessary to complete formal training and gain some real-life experience to work as a powerplant mechanic.
