A Railcar repairer is a highly knowledgeable person who performs a variety of functions required to provide a safe, comfortable and enjoyable travel time to passengers. Being a repairer, his chief responsibility is to analyze the operations, identify areas of malfunction and correct the defects. A railcar repairer performs repairing functions for the interiors or exteriors of the railcar. He paints the interiors of the railcar, fixes up seats and upholstery and installs/repairs the lights and fans within every coach of the railcar. He repairs braking system, inspects bearing and wheels to ensure smooth movement of the railcar.
