Desktop Technician Resume

Desktop technicians are hired for supporting and maintaining workstations in an organization. Whether there is a need to set up additional workstations, connect them to the printer, and extend the network connection, these technicians are often approached to by the department managers. Their job is not just to ensure that the workstations are properly connected to the electric supply. They also have to install software applications with anti-virus on the computers. If any workstation is not operating as required, they detect the problems, do the necessary changes in hardware and software, and improve performance.

Good hands in fixing peripheral equipment and troubleshooting software problems are core requirements for a desktop technician job. Further, applicants must be competent in communicating in technical and non-technical language and complete tasks within scheduled time.
