Subject: Application for a position of Freelance Photographer

Dear Powell,

Capturing great moments with my SLR camera and making them special using my photo-editing skills are my passion. I enjoy taking photographs of wild life, nature, people, and anything from indoor to outdoor that inspire my imagination. If you are wondering why I am writing this to you, then, please let take the liberty to express my intention of working for Glory Art Gallery as a Freelance Photographer.

I took fancy to a camera when I was in Eighth grade. The first camera my dad presented me was a point and shoot compact digital camera. That was the best gift I ever received, and it helped me in exploring the horizons I always wanted. I am grateful to my dad that he has preserved those photographs in an album, which have become an integral part of my portfolio. When we meet, I will be happy to show it to you.

As my passion for photography grows, I enrolled in a photography course at a community college. The training further helped in getting acquainted with sense of composition, playing with colors, understanding difference between black and white and coloured images, familiarizing with photo-editing tools and software, using light to the best of advantage, experimenting with different angles while shooting landscape photographs, and much more.

The best part of my photography career was an opportunity given by my client to shoot underwater. I took a three-week training for using the equipments under water. This project enhanced my passion for adventure photography. In addition, I have covered several special moments be it wedding, anniversaries, birthdays, sporting events, and fashion photography.

Since photography is the only source of my living, I am willing to travel any long distance if you so required. My enclosed resume and my portfolio are enough evidence to speak of my skills to you. I am at ease in all types of photography. I can describe each of my picture at length when we meet.

Please spare some time for our meeting since we both share the same vision and goals. I can drop-in at your convenient time if informed two-days in advance at my given number or through email. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Rolland R. Hall
