What are Saturday Jobs?
Saturday jobs are special types of work that can be referred to week-end based schedule (including Saturday as well as Sunday), but usually they are just Saturday jobs. These jobs are specially designed for teenagers that are willing to do a day's work for a low amount of money. Although it may seem improbable that a business manager would want to get in the trouble of employing a person for doing a one day work, this type of jobs is very common and in high demand, because Saturdays are profitable days for most of the businesses. Mall owners, all sorts of shops and eateries, and even households are looking for young people that can help them when everyone else has a day off. The job is particularly attractive for teenagers, since there isn't too much work involved and the amount of money they can make on their own is always welcomed.
Basic simple tasks to be handled by teenagers without any working and professional experience can be found in almost all kinds of work-activities and environments. In an office, you can organize documents and other materials, you can help in sales or babysit, take care of a garden or a dog. There are endless opportunities; all you have to do is a little research in order to find them.
Teenagers' Saturday Work
Some teenagers have come up with the bold idea of creating their own Saturday businesses. You can gather a bunch of your friends and offer your services, for example, for taking care of pets in the neighborhood. You can walk them out in the morning, groom them, clean their toys and simply look after them while the owner can manage a recreational schedule for his family. You can offer your services as babysitter and take care of young children for a couple of hours, especially in the evening when the rest of the family has to attend special events or just want to get out.
A community paper is a very bold idea. As a Saturday job, you can put together community news and print an entertaining and useful newspaper that you can then distribute. It can turn out to be very helpful for people that want to hear what's going on during the week (discounts, special programs and events, movie or special menus), but don't have the time to look for themselves.

Saturday work is also available for adults and students. Earning some extra-money or simply changing the scenario of the daily life and doing something attractive and more interesting than the full-time job are the main reasons why adults look for a Saturday job. Also, it is a good strategy for creating new contacts and getting closer to the community, if the work place is nearby. Exploring other work activities contributes to gaining additional experience, but Saturday jobs in your own field of activity can be as important, especially for students.
