Dialysis Patient Care Technician Resume

Dialysis patient care technicians operate dialysis machines used for removing toxins from the patient's blood whose kidney is not functioning. They are responsible for performing dialysis on patients. To help remove toxins from the blood, they assemble the machine and check if everything is running as expected. When the patient is brought in, they educate patients on the involved process, and check blood fluid and other vital status. As the dialysis is going on, they have to monitor patients and be alert for any sign of discomfort. Once the process is complete, they disconnect the machine, check vital sign, and refer the patient to the urologist.

This job requires one year hemodialysis experience. In addition, training as a CNA or in CPR is necessary. You can also become a CCHT (Certified Hemodialysis Technician) to build your career in renal care. Further, hands-on experience in taking care of the dialysis machine is also must.
